Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Luxe Building & Design collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Luxe Building & Design is a home remodeling and design firm serving Cedar City, St. George, and the surrounding Southern Utah area. We operate as a service-area business and work from our clients' properties rather than a retail storefront.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message. We only ask for what we need to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. These logs exist for security and reliability, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect. This site does not run analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party marketing pixels. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not buy information about you from data brokers.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any cookies. There is no advertising cookie, no analytics cookie, and no tracking cookie, which is why you will not see a cookie consent banner here.

The site does store one item in your browser's local storage: your light or dark appearance preference, so the site looks the way you left it when you return. That preference stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy, disclose exactly what is collected, and ask for your consent before any tracking begins.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and answer questions about a potential project.
• To prepare estimates and discuss scope, scheduling, and pricing.
• To keep records of our correspondence with you.
• To keep the website secure and working properly.

We do not send marketing emails or newsletters from this website, and submitting the contact form does not sign you up for any mailing list.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not trade or rent it to anyone.

We rely on a small number of service providers to run this website and deliver our email:

• Vercel hosts the website and processes server logs.
• Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
• Google provides the email inbox where we receive and store your message.

These providers handle your information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form enquiries for as long as we may reasonably need them, which for an active or completed project means for the duration of our business relationship and any period afterward required for warranty, tax, or record-keeping purposes. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted once they are no longer useful to us. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and contact form submissions are transmitted over encrypted channels to our email provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Your choices and rights

Privacy laws such as the Utah Consumer Privacy Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act set revenue and data-volume thresholds that a business of our size does not meet, so we are not currently required to comply with them. We would rather honor the substance of those rights anyway. Contact us and we will do our best to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your enquiry and our correspondence.

We will not discriminate against you for asking. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for you to opt out of on that front.

Children

This website is intended for adults considering remodeling work on a property. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site links to outside pages, including our Facebook profile. Following those links takes you to services with their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Note that we link to Facebook as an ordinary hyperlink, so Facebook receives nothing about you unless you choose to click through.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will revise this page and update the date at the top. Material changes, such as introducing analytics, will be described here rather than made quietly.
